Jason Shaw BA (Hons) PSP, is an associate security consultant at the international multi disciplinary engineering consultancy Hilson Moran.
Having spent over 30 years in the security systems integration sector designing and implementing integrated security solutions, he now advises on, and designs security systems and other integrated IoT based solutions for the built environment, with a focus on smart buildings and development of cyber security risk management strategies.
Jason is the editor of the guidance document produced by the Smart Built Environment Facilities Management Group, a sub group of the Smart Built Environment Working Group, IoTSF. Currently in his final year studying a Masters in Information Security Management at Northumbria University.

ABSTRACT

“New Guidance and Best Practices on the security of Smart Built Environments, IoTSF.”

The panel will present three new Guidance and Best Practise documents on behalf of the Smart Built Environment Working Group, IoTSF. Each paper outlines Guidance and Best Practices on the security of Smart Built Environments for 1) Building Owners, 2) Facilities management professionals and companies and 3) Manufacturers. Leaders from these particular stakeholder communities will consider their challenges, solutions and recommendations. There will be time for Q & A with a follow-on meeting room for further discussion.
